Kiss me next to the tree underneath the nest of bees. Let’s spend the day running away from the sun.. or trying, at least. It’s hopeless. It’s pointless. But why not try while we can? Don’t cut the grass but instead let it grow like you would want your little embryos to grow within. It will mature into a beautiful field of wild and free.

The last day of LIHSA was really difficult to handle- I found myself breaking out in tears every few minutes (this is not an exaggeration). Jamal and I were locked in an embrace on the floor in the dance studio, sobbing into each others’ tear-stained shirts. Watching the Ride the Bus video caused spastic cry laughs in my stomach- erupting out of my mouth into the air. What an idiot I must have sounded like.. It’s hard to leave things that leave such a beautiful and permanent impression. This is the first time I really understand and appreciate what places like LIHSA do for people like me and Jamal. It is our safe-haven and sanctuary.

Prom was semi-fun- I wish people didn’t have to show up intoxicated in order to have a good time. There is a picture of Kyla and I floating around the internet..

MacArthur Prom was really fantastic- People gave kind compliments about my appearance. Elegance. We danced the night away. Laser-tagging at Q-Zar was a thrilling experience- the feeling of extreme terror in a silly glow-in-the-dark environment created a nostalgic/childhood atmosphere. Kim’s backyard was set up for an outdoor sleepover, but surprisingly, a lot of people left before anyone got a chance to sleep. Conversations formed between Jordan, Matt and I.. we discussed a lot of topics (including homosexuality, drugs/alcohol, superficiality vs. realness). Our conversations were accompanied by the chirping birds, the crackling of fire embers, the droplets of rain on our tarp-roof, Sean’s drunken snores, and the rising sun. Beauty and exhaustion.

I need to write.

My writing is really poor- my sentences are awkward and they get stuck somewhere along the way down from my brain to my finger tips to the keyboard. Writing all of the bad stuff out will hopefully uncover the good stuff.
